Position Summary:

Will work to optimize client safety and quality of care. Personal Support Worker will provide personal, palliative care, housekeeping and respite services to seniors in their own homes or apartments in a variety of locations and settings


• Homemaking (e.g. meal preparation, cleaning, laundry, etc.) 

• Personal Care (e.g. personal hygiene, dressing, toileting, medication reminder, transfer, reposition, escort to medical appointments, etc.) 

• Respond to Emergency Response System (Lifeline and mobile phone) calls. 

• Contribute to a culture of client safety and employee Health and Safety, by complying with all safety practices of the organization, reporting unsafe practices and adverse events, and acting on safety recommendations. 

Education Level:

• Grade 10 or equivalent 

• Personal Support Worker certification 

• Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal) 

• Ability to communicate in a second language is considered an asset 

• Physically and emotionally able to perform the duties 

Experience Required: 6 months to 1 year working with seniors 


•  Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle 

•  Valid First Aid/CPR Certification 

•  Enjoys working with seniors and is able to contribute to their quality of life by promoting their independence, dignity, social, emotional and physical well-being 

Hours of Work:

• There is one (1) position available: 

• Every Monday and Thursday at Highway Terraces 

•  3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m (7 Hours) 

•  Alternate Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at West Woodbridge Expansion 

• 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m (7 Hours) 

• Alternate Fridays at West Acres Hub 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m (8 Hours) 

• 64 hours biweekly 

Location:  Combination of sites:

Highway Terraces 

•  3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. – Every Monday and Thursday 


West Woodbridge Expansion 

• 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. – Alternate Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 


West Acres Hub 

• 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. – Alternate Fridays 

Permanent Part Time

Rate of Pay: 

$16.35 per hour minimum as per Collective Agreement
